What do you mean by Reset? Is it showing the wrong amount of fuel or is it just plain not working?

It shows 0% as well as LCD above keyboard even if battery is charged. I got advice to try to reset fuel gauge, but I don't know how.

Not sure about "resetting" fuel gauge. But I don't think that the fuel gauge program is the problem in your case. If your LCD display shows 0% battery, then the fuel gauge utility should also show 0%. The problem appears to be something else.

When you say your battery is charged, are you sure? Is it possible that your battery is dead, or can you actually run your ThinkPad for 30 minutes or more off the battery alone?

Are you using an original IBM battery or some repackaged/non-standard replacement?
