Thinkpad 600x - battery issues

#1 Post by golfv5 » Tue Feb 09, 2010 8:19 am

Hi everyone. First post on here!

I have issues with the battery on my 600x. It goes flat very quickly, and doesn't seem to be charging properly. In which case, I end up having to always run it from the mains.

Is it possible to buy a replacement battery? And are the batteries known for going wrong....

Thanks :)

Welcome to the forum! You will find a lot of useful information here to help you get the most out of you Thinkpad.

Now to answer your questions. Yes, replacement batteries are readily available. Search on-line stores and auction sites. And, all laptop batteries (all rechargeable batteries, actually) eventually go "wrong". Depending on how they are used, a laptop battery should last from several months to a few years before needing to be replaced.
