Help/advise on upgrading 4x CDROM drive on 365XD

#1 Post by ccjmoey » Thu Feb 24, 2005 10:44 am

Hi All,

I am thinking of upgrading the 4x CDROM on my 365XD to a 24x CDROM (FRU P/N
27L3711) and I am wondering whether has anyone done so. Will there be any
compatibility issue? I am thinking of upgrading because I am fed-up with my
4x CDROM drive being unable to read CDRs, etc. Hard to move data without being
connected to a network. ;(

Thanks.

Sorry, to make the question clearer. Can I install a 24x slimline cdrom from other thinkpads into my 365xd?

Thanks.
