I have a thinkpad 755cv and the docking station, Dock II. The Dock II has a scsi optical drive. I want to change it to an IDE. Does anyone know where I can get the IDE drive cable? Its part number is 66G3576. Thanks, n6zw

Many old ISA sound cards has an IDE port.
Years ago, I used a 755CE and a Dock II with a Sound Blaster AWE32 having a harddrive attached to it's IDE port.

Thanks, the IDE connection in the docking station has a wierd-propriatary type connection. Thats why I'm looking for that particular cable. IBM-Lenovo doesn't seem to have the old cable. n6zw

It's been since my days using the 701, so I can't remember the cable exactly, but you might give this a try. Find a SelectaDock II or III that has an IDE controller and cable on board and see if it uses the same connector. I'm betting that, that dock will be a LOT easier to find than the Dock II. I got one with a lost key, so if I can get into it I can look.
