This is probably a stupid question. Not the first and surely not the last one I will ask.
I need to know what would happen if I had a 128MB 100MHZ SODIMM and a 128MB 66MHZ SODIMM in the same computer? Would they even fit? And is it a bad thing?

They will fit but they probably will not play nice with each other. It is usually best to keep the memory speeds the same.

Thanx
I am guessing that the 100mhz is the best option.

most all PC100 RAM will run without trouble at PC66 speed.
many people are doing that since PC100 is easier to find.
almost no PC66 RAM will run at PC100 speed
you've got nothing to lose by trying it will either work or it won't.
Will the computer even do 100MHz? If so that will be a better upgrade, if not it's a waste of money!

It has 66mhz in there now.And I think that is what it originally came with. So I will stick with that. For now that is my easiest way out. I just cannot deal with 96mb. So I purchased 2 128mb 66mhz from ebay.
One more quick stupid question:) Do I just remove the old and put in the new? I mean is it that simple?

yep
the system must be off of course
ground youself (touch something that is grounded for a moment) before you touch the RAM.
