Hi!

One of my friends has a Thinkpad 1200. I managed to find it has 5Gb hdd installed.
what is the maximum size and the recommended type HDD I can install in this machine?

Pretty much anything, I think. You could probably find a nice 40 or 20gb drive at a good price somewhere and use that with your ThinkPad.
