Ultraslimbay battery

#1 Post by shadynet » Thu Mar 10, 2005 10:07 pm

hello,
i saw the ultraslimbay battery on ebay a few times but some have in their descriptions that it works with 600E and 600X only, some have the 600 as compatible in their list, since i have a 600 and want some battery time for school i want to know if i can put the battery with the fru 02k6505 into my tp 600.

thanks

No. Well, it might fit (I don't know), but it definitely will not work in there. There's no battery connector in the UltraSlimBay on the 600.

take it from me.. it fits, but will not do anything.. I learned the hard way

apparently the adaptor does not support a battery as a bay device, nor does the bios..

I'm selling one btw for $30.. pm me if interested..

Yup, I fell for this too, bought a 600E to fix it!
If you look into the empty bay of a 600E you will see contacts kinda like the ones for the main battery to the left of the drive conector.
On my 600 you can see ripples in the plastic where the battery connector tabs could be but arn't.
