I left my ThinkPad 755CD on running Windows 95. I close the lid and it goes on the other low power light, witch guessing on the newer ThinkPads "The moon icon light". I open the lid the next day and it shows the Windows 95 desktop and go to move the trackpoint mouse and it freezes and the screen goes black. I manualy power off and power on and the screen stays blank. I let it sit for 10min and power it on again and the display works again and runs but later the display goes off. I removed the top bezel to clean any dust off the board and check to see if any wires are lose witch no dust or wire lose. So I don't know what happend, Even checked to see if the lid close switch is pressed down and isn't. Also would Windows 98 run on this?

Okay I think I fixed it. I had to put back in the CD-ROM Drive for it to work. now it loads to easy setup or my Windows 95.
So I guess the 755CD needs to have the Floppy/CD-ROM Drive to run properly. Anyway will Windows 98 run on the ThinkPad 755CD? Its running Windows 95 right now. Also does IBM sell OEM parts like the 3 cell CMOS battery?
