It gets to the startups screen. Everything appears okay, as it see's all the memory just fine. However, it wont boot past that. Also, the volume horn flashes on the little screen on the keyboard. And there is also a floppy drive there as well, but sometimes that doesn't show up. Then, I can hear the hard drive spin up and the signal shows up on the small kb screen, but then goes away. Can anybody provide any insight on how to get this thing booted up?

Does it go into sleep mode (shuts off the screen) instead of booting?

Nope. I think both motherboard and hard drive failures are the problem. The hard drive spins up then makes a loud click and spins down. The system beeps at startup, then the sound horn indicator on the LCD on the keyboard flashes (after the speakers make a popping noise)

Well I had issues where a 760 series would not boot because the keyboard open switch was damaged and the system would start up and die when it would have been booting from the HD.
