Upgrades for Thinkpad I Series (Dvd driver etc..)

#1 Post by sloomy » Wed Mar 23, 2005 11:08 am

I want to upgrade the Cd Driver of my IBM I Series (2651-569) to a DVD Driver or better to a DVD/Cd-RW Combo driver.

Which IBM Drivers can be used for this purposes ?

Can be for example a driver for IBM Thinkpad 570/600 Series or Ultrabay 2000 Driver used for upgrades, if i will change theis fron panels with the panel of the I Series Driver ?

I think the quality of the I Series are not as good as a THinkpad T or X series. In my first day , i have broken the battery holder key ( a quite funy lock solution from IBM !! ).

Does someone have that part ?

Thanks for every answer.

Here's an idea,
Try taking it apart and having a look yourself.
