600e will not "see" ac adapter
600e will not "see" ac adapter
My ac adapter has a replacement plug that allows the polarity to be reversed. I inadvertently connected the adapter with the polarity reversed and now the laptop does not recognize (no charging light) when the adapter is plugged in to it. I have tried a second ac adapter and got the same result. The laptop will still boot up fine but I now have no way to charge the battery, which is down to one percent remaining. Is there a fuse inside that may have blown or have I done some major damage?

That doesn't sounds like a true IBM AC adapter...larry wrote:My ac adapter has a replacement plug that allows the polarity to be reversed. There is no fuse on the system board...

Got myself a ThinkPad 600E with broken hinges, can I repair old hinges instead of buying new ones?

Camera LED does not work? Make sure it's not taped over. :)
