Does anyone have a wiring list for any circuit that connects the 60 pin IBM connector to the 50 pin IDE connector on the TP760 HD caddy? I have a circuit from the thick caddy (both connectors on the same side) that is not working (Probably from handling) but if I could find the open it should be easy to fix.

Which part number? I have all 3, suppose I could map em out... that should be fun :P

Assuming it's the 82H5536 (both connectors on same side)... I'll start pinning that one out now.

EDIT: here it is, hope it is understandable, the pinout was done from the backside of the connectors, just as it appears in the image....

82H5536 pinout (53K): Image

Save that small image to disk, then zoom in in an image editor, the colors can be seen then. (Can also use the "ImageZoom" extension in FireFox)

Here is a TXT listing version of it.

Code: Select all

60pin 50pin
11 50
12 49
13/14 48/47
15 46
16 45
17 44
18 43
19 42
20 41
21 40
22 39
23 38
24 37
25/29/31/33/36	36/32/30/28/25
26 35
27/59 34
28 33
30 31
32 29
34 27
37 24
38 23
39 22
40 21
41 20
42 19
43 18
44 17
45 16
46 15
47 14
48 13
49 12
50 11
51 10
52 9
53/60 8/3
54 7
55 6
56 5
Hope it is understandable, if not, lemme know what I could illustrate better. It is mostly a straight through plug, but a lot of the connections are tied together.

Good job, just what I needed. Thanks.

I checked a PN 001-30003 with connectors on opposite sides of the flex circuit. These are in a caddy kit being sold on eBay by ajo09. It worked with a 8 GB drive when the computer addressed the IDE drive directly. The only difference is that pin 53 of the 60 pin connector goes to 36/32/30/28/25 not 60.
