TP600 - operating Fn keys with a mouse ?

#1 Post by SAE140 » Sun Sep 18, 2011 2:43 pm

Can anyone suggest a method of operating the blue Fn keys (screen off, s2d etc) with a mouse ? I assume this might be possible (emphasis on might) by using some kind of right-click pull-down menu to select the desired keys ...

Any advice, tips, links etc., indeed anything to get started with this would be most welcome. Ta.

With XP you have the option of using an Onscreen Keyboard (Start-->Programs-->Accessories-->Accessibility) which has Fn buttons you can activate with the mouse. If you're running a different OS, you can probably find a free program that does the same thing.
Current Thinkpads: 600E, 600X, 701C, A31 (Flexview), R51 (Flexview), R60, T42P (Flexview), TR50E, T60 (Flexview), X61s (Ultralight), Z61m (Ti) Non-Thinkpad: Toshiba 100ct
