Hello to all,
I have a new Lenovo Thinkpad 0199-A52, it seems to be a nice little 14" machine.
However, so far I have been unable to stop the laptop from asking for the password after leaving it idle for just a few minutes.
Of course I have tried the usual suspects in the "ask-don't ask" area of the battery UI.
Tried removing the battery (ya nevah know). Changing and re-changing various sleep/hibernate settings.
I did a search here but came up empty. Ask me for more info and I will comply post-haste.
Thanks

Re: Cannot change power settings A52
Go into the Display properties, select the Screen Saver.
There you can set to enter a password or not after the screen saver has come on.

RBS,
thank you, your answer was spot on.
It's my wife's machine, and I never use screen-savers, so I was unfamiliar with that setting.
Also, thank you for moving me to the correct forum, and I am glad to be here.
Goodnight from South of Boston,
Barry
