Hi,
When performing a hard task my system restarts---i. e. scanning the whole system for viruses, exporting a Corel VideoStudio Pro project as a video (even at its poorest settings), and so on. Is it a problem with the processor? Any ideas of what should I do?
Additional fact: just before restarting, the fan begins to sound louder.
In my signature there are some details on my system. Here are some additional ones:
-ThinkPad Edge E40 (0578-CTO)
-Processor: Intel i3 M370 @ 2.40 GHz
-OS: Windows 7 (Home Premium 6.1.7601, Service Pack 1)
Thank you for any advice.
Best regards,

Re: It restarts on heavy duty
(Update: Problem solved.)
There was an overheating problem with the processor because the fan was full of dust. My tech guy had it cleaned up. Also, the kind-of plastic glue cover above the processor had melted because of heating---he replaced it with a new one that contains silver.
May it help some other ThinkPad user.
