Edge 520 - can its display be replaced by a HD+ from R500?

Hi, if I buy the cheap Edge, do you think I could take out the display from my faulty R500 thinkpad and put it in the Edge? the R500 has 1680 x 1050 something.

You cannot. The Edge has a 15.6" 16:9 ratio LCD and the R50 has a 15.4" 16:10 ratio LCD.

If supported by the Edge, you'd need an HD+ or FHD LCD.

I'd like to know if this can be done, too (for either an Edge 520 or 15). I have an Edge 15 with an HD LCD.
