While I am a fan of the ThinkPad Edge line, due to their solid value, it was apparent that their finish, in particular the sliver trim that surrounds several models, would wear easily.

Indeed, this is what I have found. All of the used Edge models that I've purchased have shown black plastic under scratches on the silver trim band, due to scratches, scuffs & normal wear. Not a good look.

I have found a fix! For about $2, Sharpie offers a silver metalic marker that perfectly matches the color of the trim band. Here is a link for the Sharpie marker --> http://www.sharpie.com/enUS/Pages/metal ... arker.aspx

I've been watching the Marketplace, but haven't purchased an Edge yet... these touch-up pens would be great for lots of stuff

FYI...I purchased a Thinkpad Edge 430 for my daughter at college and so far so good. Works well and she likes the keyboard better than her old T61!
