E430 Hung up - no start up - like dead

Good day! My one-year old TP Edge E430 didn't start up anymore, i.e. the blue logo of Windows8 and the turning circle don't appear, although the screen doesn't remain pitch-black. A kind of very weak light is observable. I noted a longer getting start-up (longer turning circle and logo) before the "strike" happened. What could it be - I'm not a mechanic at all, at least not with computers, and here on Cape Verde Lenovo-Thinkpads are rather rare.
