thinkpad e540 keyboard swap

Does anyone know if I can change the keyboard from non backlit keyboard to a backlit keyboard? It is a 20C6008QUS. And is there a knock on those laptops? I don't own one but am contemplating on buying one.

I would presume that the answer is "yes" but I'm not an expert on Edge series.
And is there a knock on those laptops?
I don't quite understand the question...
If you mean "knock off" - the answer is "no".
If you mean something else, please clarify...

I THINK he means to ask if there are any inherent difficulties with this particular thinkpad model..
I would say the "knock" on the X1 Carbon is the really idiotic keyboard..
which makes any easy task more difficult..

Sorry couldn't find the words to clarify it but bill morrow hit the nail on the head. Thanks for the info. I want to buy one and change the keyboard to a backlit in the future. Hopefully it is possible. Thanks all
