Hi, has anybody get a compatibility issue between a ThinkPad E530 03193su and Kingston V300 128GB SSD. The machine hangs on startup until and eventually it says the ssd had failed. I tried two identical SSD already. If the the V300 does not work, any other suggestions? I need something inexpensive.
Thanks

It's not a very good SSD for a SATA III system. The the write speed is awful. The read speed is not very good. Here is a good site for seeing real world benchmark performance of SSD drives.

If you had it working with the drive. Disconnect the battery and hold the power button down for 10 seconds.
Most people do not like my way of dealing with problems. I just wipe the drive and do a clean re-install. Backup your files to a USB drive. That is the easiest way if trouble shooting becomes too difficult. SSD have the secure erase feature. I do the quick format using disk management in Windows and a USB HDD cradle.
