Upgrading the E520, Suggestions on the models listed?

My Thinkpad E520 is starting to feel its age. I have really liked it over the years, but figure i can do a little upgrade. I am looking at a E540 (20C600AAUS) and a E530 ((3366-33U) Both of the specs are close enough that it wont be an issue. The only thing i do with my EDGE is take it on trips and to the fire station, and do my checking on it. (And web surf) and run Quicken, Audacity, Media Player Classic Home Cinema, ConvertXtoDVD, and Boilsoft Video Splitter on occasion.
Before i get the lectures, I use a Lenovo Flex 2 15 at home, A Thinkpad W500 at work and the wife uses a W500 also.
I am looking for an E5XX replacement. Matte non touch screen & i3 is fine.
I remember when i had the T61's, some were better than others (older was better) Opinions on the 2 i mentioned?

Also what does the (C) stand for in E530C. Or could i be looking at an E531 or E545??
