E530 Won't sleep by closing the lid

Months ago after a hard drive failure and crappy backups that were corrupt, I performed a clean install to the new hard drive using a Win 7 Pro 64 .iso file from MS. I downloaded all drivers from Lenovo after manually installing the WiFi driver.

The machine has all current updates, all settings have been checked in the Device Manager, the Lenovo power program, and Windows power options, and still this system won't sleep anymore by closing the lid.

It will sleep if you go through the shutdown menu, but not by closing the lid. I have not found anything specific to this series of machines that I haven't already thought of or tried. I posted the question some time back on the Lenovo forums, but no one had anything useful.

I thought maybe it was the lid switch, but using a magnet in that location had no effect.

Has anyone here experienced this with an E530?

There is something in the windows control panel called power options and there is a tab on the left something about when the lid closes or something and there you go...
