I want to upgrade my E431's screen - which is 1366*768 HD with 40 pin LVDS 1 channel- to a better quality screen,As i know and search on web shows, its better to upgrade to HD+ screen,I found the screen LP140WD2-TL-C1 for upgrade, but it seems I'll face a problem if i do and not change the cable with a dual channel support,so if you have any part number or link for the cable i need, please guide me to
And if i'm wrong or any different idea,please give me your suggestion to help me upgrade my low quality screen.

What you need is to look for the FRU BOM for the E431 (Google is your friend), then look for the LCD cable FRUs.
If there's only one LCD cable FRU, I think it can it be safely assumed that it works for both HD and HD+.

I tried a HD+ LCD from a T420 and it did not work, so rule that one out if you consider it.

T430 and T430i screens will fit in your E431 (non-touch).
Some even use the same part numbers (like 04W3331 HD+ made by LGD).
But be careful, T430 uses different LCD-cables for HD and HD+

Here is its FRU https://download.lenovo.com/parts/Think ... 130430.pdf ,there are some HD+ LCDs in the list but it seems there is no such LCD exists in shops,at least i didn't find any on laptopscreen.com,also as you see in the list there is 14W LCD Cable ,but i don't know if it can support HD+ LCD or not,that it seems i need a new cable,but i don't know what cable to search,please help me about the part number of the cable i need or some close guidance.

So you mean if i buy T430's cable and screen and change it with the one E431 has,It will work?

The E431 has a different cable than the T420, it won't fit in the motherboard I believe.

what about T430's cable?

You'll find very few (if any) forum users with Edges, Ideapads or other similar el cheapo Lenovo stuff.
That's because they are not considered real Thinkpads.
Hence the lack of answers about such oddities.

Sorry, I haven't scavenged many T430's other than the two I had and flipped.
I had gotten these way before the E431, and I only got them because they were just a little bit more than the going price of the RAM it had on eBay.

But yes, RBS is right, not many, if any E series users here, just the enthusiasts.
