Also enjoy the award-winning ergonomic ThinkPad keyboard, featuring white coloured backlight when in Quiet mode, or red coloured when in Performance mode.

Just in case, the listed price of $1,299.00 is in AUD/Australian and converts to $960 (US).

This is the ThinkPad made for gaming, thats why it has the red backlit. Surprised to see this in the Austrialian market, considering ist predeccessor E560p was a China-exclusive.

It was originally made for the Chinese market, which is very different from Western markets. They don´t have the clear separation between business and consumer Notebooks and dedicated GPUs are much more popular there compared with Western markets.

Honestly there should be a gaming series ThinkPad, as bad as it sounds, people want it.
I would presume what will work best is a P-Series with a GTX GPU variant/Drivers.

If Lenovo is going to do dual colors on the keyboard, whats stopping them from doing full RGB colors on the keyboard?
Will there be a gamer version of the X1C just like how Razer had their Razer Blade?

Why is this guy not on the US market? I would buy it. Not for gaming for GPU intensive work loads.
