E580 Won't Boot

E580 Won't Boot - and I'm pretty sure I know exactly why. Problem is.. how can I disable it?
I bought it with a HDD but replace it shortly after with a SSD. But I didn't know (or forgot about it) about the Active protection. I should have removed it I guess in hindsight.
Now when it boots, Windows 10 goes into "Preparing Automatic Repair" and hangs there. But I noticed a quick one line flash before it gets to that point and captured it on video and it says:
"Thinkvantage Active Protection Sensor diagnostics start"
It won't even boot from my CD/DVD USB drive either by BIOS startup or by F12.
So Active Protection appear to have shutdown my SSD and anything else I want to boot from.
Any suggestions how to turn off Active Protection when it won't boot?
