Edge 15 on order - screen upgrades?

Wanted a cheap ThinkPad to spruce up, maybe liquidate, and settled on an Edge 15 since everything else has blown up in value. Can't go wrong with a complete unit under $50 shipped on eBay. Also, HDMI.
These all came with 1366x768. In the off chance I hold onto it forever, are these things even capable of running HD+ or FHD?

The prior linked NBR consensus is that the official cables only support single channel LVDS, limiting the supported LCDs to 1366x768, and it is unknown if the socket on the planar is even wired for dual channel should a modded cable be produced. So absent more custom fabrication work than these cheap cuties are worth (none), 1366x768 is the max res you'll get out of an Edge 15's internal display. Perfect for keeping the value down, so you can buy these on the cheap if you need a cheap speedy laptop, which I did.
