E450 Thinkpad - problem with 920mx GPU
Posted: Tue Sep 20, 2022 12:20 am
I got a used Thinkpad E470 in June 2021 and installed a fresh copy of Windows 10. Everything was working without any problems.
Several months later I noticed that when I run a program ( ie. Minecraft, Roblox or Davinci Resolve ) that uses the GPU that the window or the full screen of the program will not display properly.

( Similar to this but more severe. Can't make out any text or any images )
However elements such as the File dialogs ( save window, open window ) is unaffected. Same with the Windows desktop and taskbar.
In Davinci resolve I was able to render the video and the output was ok.
Has anyone else encountered this? Any possible solutions on how to fix?
I am running Window 11 21H2 build 19044.2006
Things I've tried
Reinstalled window 10.
Updated the Lenovo bios ( v2.07 )
Updated to the latest Lenovo NVIDIA Optimus Display Driver and GFE package for Windows 10 (Version 1607 and later)
Updated to the Intel HD Graphics Driver for Windows 10 (Version 1709 and later)
