I am new to the forum, and I have 2 questions.
1. Mouse. I was all set to purchase a ThinkPad Edge on Sunday and the more and more I used the store display machine, I backed away. About 10% of the time I went to click on a link, the cursor would not activate the link and simply move up about 1/4" on the screen. When I redid it, everything was fine. It seemed when I used the cursor continually, this was not an issue. But if I let it sit a few seconds / couple of minutes, the problem would recur. Is this a known problem on this machine? It really turned me off.
2. Value. The machine I am looking at is i3 processor / 4 GB Ram / 500 GB hard drive / Win 7 Professional version / bluetooth / LED display with no blueray and no special graphics card. The price is $675.00 new. Does anyone have an opinion of this value. Why do some on this forum say it is not really a thinkpad?
Thank you. Walt.

Re: CURSOR JUMPS AROUND ???
I've run into a similar issue. I re-installed with 7 Ultimate x64. It seems to hang every few minutes, mostly if I let it sit idle. I think it's when the hard drive spins down, and it hangs when spinning back up, just my guess though. Experiment, tell it to never spin the drive down, even on battery, and try and re-produce the problem. I run ubuntu mostly until I need to whip out CS5 or MSOffice, and haven't had an issue there, so I'm sure it isn't a hardware issue.
