Thinkpad 13 startup

Hello,
I have a problem with my 4-month old Thinkpad Edge 13". When shutting down my computer or putting it into Hibernate mode, it often will not start the next morning when pushing the Start button. Then I try unpluging the cable and removing the battery, then reset the battery and plug in the computer cable. This is often to no avail. What do I do? I go through this process several times and finally when pushing the start button it comes on. It provides too much suspense for me! The computer works well...just does not like to start well! For now I am only using the "sleep mode", leaving it on all the time.
Yesterday I learned that the Hibernate mode in Windows 7 is problematic so do not use and that I should leave my computer on all the time.
Any thoughts about this?
Stephen
