Feed link not working properly

why does feed no longer work? I use firefox on windows 7 ultimat 64bit and no longer have a feed/radio bookmark toolbar and when I click the feed icon at top of forum page it just downloads an unknown file that nothing can open.I used to have toolbar with feed or radio links with updates since last visit. I could just click the feed I wanted and catchup on news from the group or blog. when did this change?

The Feed link opens in your default RSS reader. I use Thunderbird, and the Feed link opens in Thunderbird. You may not have a default RSS reader.
