This is a new replacement x1 carbon received yesterday as a replacement for my current x1 carbon.
Same issue again, but I can't find any other posts about this issue ?

I'm trying to get this issue resolved since end of november...

First Lenovo denied warranty, then got an onsite engineer who couldn't fix the problem so I had to sent the laptop to lenovo.

Took them 1 week to replace the screen but problem remained.
Again got an engineer onsite who escalated the problem since he couldn't fix the problem.
On 10 December they approved a complete machine replacement, but took them some time to get a new laptop.
Received the new laptop yesterday, but same issue...
(model 34602SG)

I have the same gap. Doesn't bother me that much. I can't even see it unless I am standing directly above it.

If the laptop was 300 euro's ok, but a 1500 euro laptop should not have this.

Perhaps because no one else thinks this is an issue? I am surprised that Lenovo is actually trying to "fix" this.

It sounds to me that you really are just too sensitive. Everyone's X1C has this tiny gap but you are the only person complaining. Stop looking at or thinking about this "issue" and you will become a happier person. If you can't do this, then sell it and get a different model. The X1C Touch may not be different enough. Get an X230 or a Mac or an Asus or whatever.

When I'm paying almost 2000 euro's for a laptop I don't expect problems like this.
And when showing the problem to some friends they also think this should be fixed.
(and I found some posts on forums.lenovo.com and forum.notebookreview.com about the same issue.)

Got the following reply today from lenovo :
As the X1 is a newly designed product it has unfortunately faced flaws in
manufacturing for which you had to bear the brunt of unfortunately. These
flaws have been escalated to our manufacturing and technical dept. and has
been rectified, unfortunately you received a machine which had been
manufactured before the fix was applied.
(I'm now going for a replacement x1ct)

That's a serious manufacturing quality issue. The analogy would be a gap in a car windshield. Unacceptable in a MBZ but also a Yugo. Suggest getting your money back from Lenovo rather than selling the notebook at a discount to your original all in purchase price.
