New X1 Carbon

#1 Post by domi » Wed Jan 08, 2014 7:36 pm

I'm surprised the latest post on this forum is from Dec-28 and there has been no talks about the New X1 Carbon yet.

First look: http://youtu.be/mGg3HjrtOxA

What do you think?

The discussion has been some discussion of the new keyboard coming on the next X1 Carbon over in the general forum at http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=112734

I know that I sure as heck would never own something like that. I might be picking up the previous X1C in the next few months.

It looks really good to me ... but I was impressed by my wife's full-spec X1C that we bought over 12 months ago.
It's only the operating system that seems poor. Win8 looks like a child's toy OS.

X1 Carbon Win 7 Pro 64 for my wife.

I just hope that the X1C would recognize hand gestures with a Win7 install...
I'm sure there are guides out there to customize Windows 8.x to work as a proper desktop/laptop.
