720p screen on x1 carbon?

Hi all,

I bought myself an x1 carbon and after loading it up I found 720p screen. Arent the carbons supposed to be 1600x900 standard? I plan on returning the laptop and was wondering what alternatives there are in terms of thinkpads? Ideally something similar in thickness and power, linux compatibility and high screen res are musts.

Some X1 Carbon units have 1366x768 screen (04Y1574, 04Y1575).
