Right angle adapter for the rectangular charging plug

#1 Post by ChugokuOtaku » Wed Apr 22, 2015 12:36 pm

Is there a version of this right angle adapter for our rectangular charging plugs?
I use a 90w slim power adapter with my X1 Carbon. With the rectangular power tip adapter, non-flexible part of the plug is around 5cm, and any accidental tug on the cable creates a lotta unwanted stress on the port itself. Ideally I'd like to have a right angle adapter for the port, especially convenient for traveling in narrow economy seats.

Sorry can't help but that adapter is quite smart. Might also save the computer if you trip on the cord too :) (Mine has been saved twice by the round to rectangular straight adapter)

Best bet as of now :(

I thought I saw some on aliexpress when I was shopping around for converts for old 20v to X1. Can't seem to find them now.

You might want to check ebay and alixpress for converters from old 20v. Best bet at finding a right-angle version.

Anybody know if the DC connectors in the Yoga are the same as in the X1?

Yeah, they're the same. Seems like a good number of the new Lenovos are going with that connector now.

EDIT: They were the same for the Yoga 2, but with Yoga 3, they switched to this pseudo USB port power connector.
