Anyone measure the milligaus ElectroMagnetic Radiation right at keyboard and under laptop?

#1 Post by bwsb » Thu Apr 30, 2015 11:52 pm

Safety level is 1 milligauss. Someone measured laptop keyboards to emit 50mg. Would be interested to know what the Thinkpads with magnesium chassis on lower end and keyboard score.

"The problem with laptop radiation is that it is operated closely especially in the laps. Laptop radiation is 1 milligauss at 30cm, but as much as 20 milligauss at point blank range. This 20milligauss is
having severe health effects.":

Oh please. This is a complete joke and there is nothing to fear. If a 2µT magnetic field has "severe health effects," there would be no life on this planet. There is no compelling evidence for negative health effects from magnetic fields that people are commonly exposed to. The WHO says that exposure to magnetic fields should be limited to 100µT normally and 500µT occupationally. That is 50-250 times stronger than the 20 milligauss field the source you quoted says causes "severe health effects."
