X1 1stGEN Windows 10 DNS problem

Hello all,

after upgrading to Windows 10 which I really enjoy (opposed to W8/W8.1), I am randomly getting "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG" " errors in the browser (chrome but that is irrelevant as when chrome doesn't work neither do any other browsers). After the last update there has been some troubles with wifi in general (i.e. would not see any networks until restarted etc.).

This makes me think in the direction of wrong drivers for the wifi card, has anyone been having similar issues and even better has anyone solved them? friend of mine with asus with the same "family" of intel wifi cards ("centrino") is having the same issues.

Any ideas what to do?
