Screen flickering / PWM detected
The display backlight flickers at 220 Hz (Likely utilizing PWM) Flickering detected at a brightness setting of 90 % and below.

Sadly looks like all the manufacturers are going that way.

No
other manufacturer has the PWM issues in all (FHD better) models like Lenovo does. It must be a general BIOS/driver issue that affects all recent Lenovo models.

i refer to using that method of dimming not that Lenovo have the worst implementation.

The method is ok, there is no other way. The poor Lenovo implemenation is the issue.

There is no screen flickering. Just to test this theory out, I am typing this message on the lowest brightness. If there were any type of flickering I would be seeing it right now. If you have flickering your probably lost the screen lottery. There are two types of screens: LG and Panasonic. LG is the one you want and apparently the different is significant between the two.
