Has anyone had a chance to try/confirm if 1TB Sandisk X400 works? Thanks

1. I second this, I also have X1C 3rd Generation, and would be very interested in a m.2 SSD with 1TB on it.
(disappointed that Samsung has not come out with one yet).

2. Does the Sandisk X400 support ACHI, which is *required* for X1C 3rd Generation?
(specifically, the X1C 3rd Generation *does*not* support NVMe).

3. fyi, the Anandtech review did not specify if this X400 support ACHI.

The X400 is a SATA SSD, so it uses AHCI.

Just a heads up, Samsung may be shipping its SM961 (NVMe) 1 TB SSD for M.2 shortly.

***BUT the X1 Carbon Generation 3 *CANNOT* use this SM961 (NVMe), since X1C3 is stuck with the ACHI SSD interface and cannot use NVMe SSD.
:(

(For the record, This SM961 (NVMe) should be compatable with X1 Carbon Generation 4).

1. Anyone tried the 1TB Sandisk X400 (PCIe / ACHI) on the X1 Carbon 3rd Generation (2015)?

My own X1C3 SSD is becoming very full, seriously looking for a 1 TB replacement...

2. Here is the latest Tom's Hardware evaluation of this X400 1 TB:
