The only thing different from this kit to the T420s kit is the FFC cable, X1c needs extra length and therefore is a bit more expensive.

I don't know much about the first non carbon X1, but check the screen port and yeah, it might be a huge amount of work.....

Well, getting 2nd hand X1C for a good price is difficult around here
