The only thing different from this kit to the T420s kit is the FFC cable, X1c needs extra length and therefore is a bit more expensive.

I don't know much about the first non carbon X1, but check the screen port and yeah, it might be a huge amount of work.....

Kit received and ordered up and received a B140HAN01.3 panel. I needed to trim the mounting tabs on the panel, and finding a location for the kit inside the laptop wasn't easy but I can report this kit/mod is awesome!

If you have issues afterwards of the laptop not powering on without the AC adapter plugged in, use the reset button on the laptop

The combination of T420s WQHD kits and X1c Carbon are tested working. However the cable is just too hard to fit in. And besides it's beyond Javi's stated specifications.

Do you have an install guide for the X1C1 FHD kit? I just received mine.

Howdy Folks,

Wanted to drop some information for anyone else looking to do this upgrade. Just ran mine thought the gamut and I'm very happy with the results. I did want to make note of issues I ran into with routing the LCD cable from the motherboard to the pcb provided in the kit. Just make sure that when you fold the ribbon cable over to take care of the extra slack that you make this fold away from the keyboard/palmrest connector as it can cause interference which in my case manifested as limited keyboard and no mouse functionality as well as strange boot times. Testing with the palmrest floating loose above the machine didnt exhibit the problem and the issue persisted under a linux boot from usb. Originally I took advantage of the existing fold in the included cable (not wanting to increase the number of folds for fear of damaging the cable.

Using the existing fold and having the rest of the slack folding back over itself in a "S" Fold , check the ascii image below: (Palmrest Cable)(Visual is from the side/sandwich view)

eventually I brought the "S" fold over a little bit, sort of on top of the WWAN slot and that sovled the issue entirely, but unfortunately requiring more fold on the ribbon cable. We'll see how it holds up.

I recently received my kit and installed it. I forgot to take a measurement before but with the IPS display at 100% brightness and an otherwise idle machine, the whole system draws about 11700 mW from the battery.
