X1 Extreme Introduction--a 15" version of X1 Carbon

Wish for a larger 15" LCD screen version of X1 Carbon?
Welcome to the X1 Extreme!

www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkPad-X ... 548.0.html

~LCD Screen Option #1: 4K IPS, 400 nits brightness
~LCD Screen Option #2: Full HD (1920x1080) IPS, 300 nits
~Graphics card option: GTX 1050 Ti Max-Q
~It's (finally) got a full sized SD Card Reader built-in!
~ThinkPad X1 Extreme includes its own pen (cannot be stored internally unfortunately)
~Think this X1 Extreme is the consumer version of the new 15" slim workstation P1.

****I especially appreciate the full complement of ports (Ethernet via a dongle like X1 Carbon), including USB 3.1 and USB-C ports.

If Lenono would get their act together and put on a classic keyboard a la T25, then they would stand a much better chance.
They never learn...

Amen.

I, for one, would likely scrap my "zero early adoption" policy for a system like that...might even be willing to look the other way when it comes to "dongled" Ethernet, which I detest...

Baby steps.

They have, at least, finally, lost the non-optional numeric keypad in this 15" debut.

This did not need to be a separate model when they could make centered keyboard versions of all the current 15" models, and that would probably be cheaper.

Yes thank goodness they came to their senses. I had to get rid of the W550s for the off center keyboard. One wonders who makes these decisions.
