Lenovo X1 Tablet

#1 Post by Chizzledfrmstone » Wed May 22, 2019 6:55 pm

I have a Lenovo X1 Tablet that was working well up until today. It would occasionally have trouble with the date and time being reset requiring me to set it otherwise it would not load into windows. Now the tablet will not even start up. It just blinks 3 times. I've read up on the issue and it could possibly be a CMOS battery issue or something more serious.

Before I start messing with the tablet and try to open it I checked how much warranty I have left. Can someone explain if the following warranty would cover something like this? Would I need to ship it back?

Hello!

1. Please confirm that your X1 Tablet is Generation 3, since it was bought in early 2018?
User said Model No. S1XV00 (which suggest it's an older model?).

2. Anyone with experience in X1 Tablet Gen 3--can one "open it up" without voiding the warranty?

3. You can also phone ThinkPad support hotline, ask them if you can upgrade the RAM inside the X1 Tablet by user "opening it up", and ask ThinkPad if that would void the warranty?

==>As you can see, the key issue here is not to void your warranty!

Good luck!
