This ThinkPad X1 Tablet Gen 3 had just been discontinued in our region.
Perhaps there would be a newer replacement model sooner rather than later?

Anyways, historically not too many folks on this Forum bought any of the X1 tablets.

Re: Did any one here or anyone they know buy the ThinkPad X1 Tablet Gen 3 (13")?
I've been using an X1 Tablet Gen 3 for close to 2 years now. It is one of my 3 main laptops. At times it has been my daily driver while on the road or when commuting to onsite work locations. It is the first new Thinkpad that I bought in about 20 years - I normally buy only used and off-lease Thinkpads.
I've been very happy with it for what it is: a very light, thin, and relatively powerful Thinkpad with a more-or-less proper Trackpoint keyboard. And I find it very convenient that I can use it with one of those fancy Thunderbolt 3 docks: I use a single dock and swap the cable back and forth between my X1T and my P52 to connect all my devices and screens as needed (you have to have the P52 connected to its own separate power supply to make this work).
But it gets a bit hot sometimes. And despite it being a great keyboard for its size, I admit that I get tired of the short key travel and annoying layout after an hour or two (especially compared to my desktop Lenovo Thinkpad USB Keyboard SK-8855 classic 7-row). And I find the screen on its own to be slightly too heavy to use as a regular tablet for long - i.e. when sitting on a couch and reading, or trying to watch a movie while holding it. And I pretty much always carry around a USB mutli-port hub in my bag. And I wish it had easier access to the MicroSD slot, or that it had a MiniSD slot. And I find the pen awkward to remember to bring with me, and when I do remember, the pen sometimes runs out of battery at inopportune moments (it drains its battery even when you are not using it for weeks at a time, which means you only discover that it has run out the next time you try to use it).
Phil.

Re: Did any one here or anyone they know buy the ThinkPad X1 Tablet Gen 3 (13")?
I've been using one as my daily driver for almost 18 months. I agree with most of what Phil said. A couple of additions:
1. The keyboard's throw is not so bad, though like all newer ThinkPads the layout is a huge step down from earlier generations. It also has a design flaw wherein an internal flex cable can go bad. The street price for a replacement keyboard is around $200. Of course, you can use it with any external USB or Bluetooth keyboard, including the ThinkPad external keyboards.
2. The keyboard only works when attached to the main unit; it is not wireless.
3. The screen is exquisite (if you get the HDR model); best of all the many ThinkPads I've owned. Bright, rich colors, and great resolution. The coating has a tendency to scratch, so it does need a screen protector.
4. The trackpoint is ultra flat, and not as responsive as on older series. Even with being so flat it still mars the screen, another reason for a screen protector.
5. As with similar tablets (like the Surface), it doesn't work well as a laptop; the keyboard-screen join doesn't have any kind of stiff hinge like a real laptop, and the screen part (which is the whole computer) has all the weight, so you have to balance it in your lap and worry about it flopping forward.
All in all I am very happy with mine, though I still find myself turning to my old X201t with its perfect digitizer for writing on the screen.

Thanks for the responses. I posted and forgot about it and never saw the inputs.
