Does X1 Carbon Gen 11 support Windows 10?

Hi everyone!

I never had a ThinkPad before, and I'm thinking of getting one of the Gen 11 X1 Carbon models.

However, I want to use Windows 10, and I found conflicting answers on whether Gen 11 can run Windows 10. Does anyone here have firsthand experience with that? I want to be sure that all the drivers work properly.

You can buy a X1 Carbon Gen 11 with Windows 10 installed and Lenovo offers Windows 10 drivers for it. In my experience that's a pretty good sign it'll work well, but sorry, I don't have any first-hand knowledge concerning the X1 Carbon Gen 11. Good Luck.

I just went to the configure-to-order page on the Lenovo's website:

and saw they offered the Windows 10 Pro downgrade from Windows 11 Pro, though it's a bit pricey at $80 over Windows 11 Pro.

It does support Win 10, but Intel itself says that 12th gen processors are optimized for Win 11: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en ... ssors.html
