saw this .............@ their PUBLIC REVEAL ..... in NYC

Thinkpad Tablet 2 = WINDOWS 8 version

I only thing I liked (loved) was the THINKPAD KEYBOARD ... and it has THE RED DOT !! WOOHOO
thats enough to make ME BUY ONE , there and than !!

Beware, it is not a trackpoint, but an optical trackball.

I haven't bought one, so I don't know how devastating the change in interface actually is.

My Touchpad-oriented associates whom I've converted to Thinkpads, all seem to use the "pencil eraser thing" as if it were a trackball, repeatedly nudging it over the top, instead of holding it for accelerated motion, so maybe Lenovo was on to something.

That keybaord sure ahd a nice feel ( for a tablet) as I am very much in love with my ASUS Tranformer (dock) keybaord
This looks like it except it had the RED DOT and was more 'smarter' looking in BLACK !

Pity I ddint get to play with it for an hour - was like vultures to meat with only 5 'samples' between 100+ pple !

SO here to THINKPAD making ITS MARK into tablet keyboard design !
