Charging battery problem on Thinkpad tablet

Problem:
USB port (charging port) was broken. Needed to hold the USB cable to firmly connect to the tablet unit while the unit was being charged.

Send for service on 26 July 2012. Job number: J52-13938. Received on 26 August 2012 (30 days!)

Two points, I would like to address regarding this Lenovo product and service.

1.I have been using Thinkpad laptop for many years. Because of its durability, I become a brand loyalty. Once the Lenovo manufactured its own tablet, I did not hesitate to buy. Unfortunately, the Thinkpad tablet is so fragile. The front cover (frame) body is easily scratched and peeled off by its original folio. The ports (e.g. micro USB) are not strong enough to hold long cables. The adaptor is not practically designed for daily use causing it to easily crack.

2. The service is even worst. It took 30 days to fix the USB port. I did not pay 21,900 baht (appox. 700 US dollar) to keep my tablet at Lenovo service department. I am very frustrated. I have to pay 500 baht per month for the internet connection (3G) that I purchased this promotion package to use with my tablet. I paid for nothing last month. I am now in a bad tampered because the unit was returned to me with more serious problem.

When I tested my tablet at the Softworld shop, the USB port was good and no longer need to hold the cable while the tablet unit is being charged. I was happy and used the tablet until the battery power shown it was 15% left. I plugged in the adapter, charged the unit and continued using it. I noticed that the power did not increase but decrease. This was, of course, unusual. The power kept diminishing until it shown 7%. I decided to shut the tablet off and charged it without using for 7 hours. This morning (27 August 2012), I turned on the tablet and the power still at 7% and started draining off. This is completely unacceptable.

What should I do? Do I send the unit and wait for another month to get it back either with or without new problem? How is the company with good reputation responsible for the excellent service as it always claims? Do I need to see the company in court?

In conclusion, I would like to return the broken unit for replacement since the tablet is in warranty period. I realize it is very difficult but I don't want to wait for the repairing process anymore.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.
