screen flickering on ThinkPad tablet 1

My tablet 1 just started to have the screen flicker and/ or back out when I move the tablet from vertical to horizontal or when I touch the screen when not nearly vertical. If I resume vertical position it works normal. this is the android tablet 1.

hello and welcome to the forum..
i've got one but it has been solid..

it spends most of its time in the docking station doing some wifi and ethernet monitoring AND turning off that pesky check engine light when needed, so its not abused or anything..

have you tried a hard reset..?
turn it completely off and the on again..?

thats the first thing i would do..

I have had it for awhile, had Lenovo repair it after it bricked, and out of the blue started with this flickering. I have had it turned off and restarted. Odd that it only does it when I am holding it horizontal, wondering it the rotate function has anything to do with it.

BTW my TP Edge 14 ust started with the flicker when i Push the screen back past 90 degrees

your TP edge issue sounds like a cable aging or detoriating.. getting flaky.. or some part of its assembly..

the tilt is controlled by an ic device which i don't think will fail incrementally..

how long ago did lenovo do a repair..?
it might still be under their repair warranty..

for myself i always buy stuff with my amex card where i get an additional year warranty through amex..
which i have used several times..

Both are out of warranty....

I had a senior engineer do me a favor with the Tablet (I am Lenovo reseller..not that that mattered)

My edge just started with it, perhaps loose ribbon cable.? Thanks again.
