Thinkpad Tablet x1 freezes from time to time

Anyone else with this tablet experience this?

Using the tablet, it will freeze every twenty to thirty minutes for 30 seconds.

I assume this is because the processor gets jammed somehow.

Any way to fix this?

It must be because of the high resolution and the low frequency of the core M processor. OTOH, I have a Samsung tablet with a similar resolution and processor and it does not hang like this one does.

We've had the power to push the amount of pixels on an X1 Talbet for years now. It's not a bottleneck. Also, comparing an Android tablet to a Windows laptop/tablet is about the same as comparing a whiteboard to a smartboard. May look the same on the surface but two completely different tools.

Now tell us what programs you are running because that is likely the sources of the issue.

I recently did a clean wipe and reinstall of windows. Only things on it are the standard stuff, the Thinkpad utilities and some windows utilities.

Thinkpad utilities and some windows utilities.

It depends on the utilities and how "resource hungry/heavy" they are as to how they behave on a certain system. Might help to list the utilities that are installed.

Also, what are you doing/what is running, when the freezes/lock-ups occur?
What is the spec of the machine (CPU/RAM/HDD type)?
