Looks refined and well laid out, apparently August is the release date in the U.S. I am hoping that Australia will have a roll out in Mid August... fingers crossed.

I have to say that does look pretty neat, but I've already got a X220 and a smart phone. Do I need another device in between?

I wonder if the $529 will include the portfolio/keyboard? The Lenovo site says 'optional'. Looks like a nice device.

If lenovo charges $30 for the pen, I doubt they bundle the keyboard. I expect 100-200 USD.

$100 for a usb keyboard .. hhmm .. i think they might do either of the following:

a. lower the price of the tablet to ensure that the tablet/keyboard come to the pricepoint of the $550 + tax
b. make sure that they keyboard dock is 75$ and that for 100$ gets you the dock + pen ..

probably .. only one could hope ..

Prices from the Lenovo press release http://news.lenovo.com/article_display. ... le_id=1468:
The 16GB ThinkPad Tablet is priced at $479 without the digitizer pen, and at $509 including the digitizer pen, for Wi-Fi models. The 32GB ThinkPad Tablet (Wi-Fi model) with digitizer pen is $589. There is also an optional keyboard portfolio carrying case available for $99. At a later date, shortly after launch, ThinkPad Tablets with 3G will become available. ThinkPad Tablet can be ordered in the U.S. starting August 2, 2011, online at http://www.lenovo.com/tablets, or through business partners nationwide. The product will be generally available in the U.S. in August 2011 and generally available worldwide during the third quarter 2011.

If it had quad-core, I would pre-order this and ditch my Xoom. The only other "problem" with this is that the screen looks super-glossy, but the Xoom's is probably worse anyway.
