Citrix Receiver Questions

#1 Post by Spleen » Mon Sep 12, 2011 11:21 pm

I'm considering the 16 mb Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet. I want to use the tablet as an electronic chart. My problem is I can only connect to my online medical software company with Microsoft IE8 (32 bit version only). No other browsers are supported. I have heard that the included "Citrix Receiver" will allow me to do this along with something called Zen Desktop. Is this another program I need to purchase? Is anyone else using Citrix and Zen to connect from their Tablet? Will this allow me to run IE8? I really like this tablet buy I'm not 100% it will work for me. I need some guidance.

Thanks

I am trying to get on my hospital for the pacs to check x-rays and we can't get the citrix app to work. Our IT people at the hospital had no luck either although it gets you to the citrix site you can't log in. Any body getting the app to work?

Thanks for the response.
I gave up on Tablet's for now and bought a Cheap Windows 7 based Toshiba Netbook.
It works well for what I do. In the future when Windows 8 tablets
hit the market I may make the change and down grade the Netbook
to my lobby so new patients can enter their demographics on it
instead of a paper form.
Good Luck

Tony
