I keep getting errors trying to launch the windows 8.1 setup.exe file

Hey. I was trying to upgrade my ThinkPad X61s from windows 7 to windows 8.1, but whenever I launched the setup.exe from windows, it would give me a few errors like:

i have tried things like using a different windows 8.1 iso(different download links) and recreating the installation media, but i still got this error :( . Can somebody help me with this?
I'm the original owner of a(n unmodded) ThinkPad X61s (2009).
specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo L7500 @1.60GHz
4GB DDR2 RAM @667 MHz
480 GB Crucial BX500 SSD
1024*768 display(original)
Intel GMA X3100 iGPU
